Behind The Veil: ‘A Fate Worse Than Live’ Tour Diary – Day IV

Cadaver Club Posted on November 22, 2013 by DraggleSeptember 5, 2014

7.30…beep…get up…shower…in the dark. Ironic really, we’re a funeral band and we didn’t have a candle between us! Really must get that light fixed. Monday morning, the middle of the working week for us. We got to the train station and began the beautiful trek to Edinburgh. The wear and tear was starting to show by now and we were good for nothing on the train, just sat half asleep admiring the scenery, glad of the warm carriage. I’d never been to Edinburgh before but was looking forward to it and it was so much more than I’d hoped. All … Continue reading →

Behind The Veil: ‘A Fate Worse Than Live’ Tour Diary – Day III

Cadaver Club Posted on November 21, 2013 by DraggleSeptember 5, 2014

7.30…beep beep  beep…get up get up get up,  shower, emerge slowly and cautiously into the land of the living – not easy for an old corpse like me. There was a little excursion to Camden planned for this morning with Mark and Brian from The Deadly Romantics. The van arrived and we stepped out to a clear blue sky, climbed into our seats and off we went. We prowled round the markets for a while, not really looking for anything in particular. Well I can’t speak for Ms. Chic Chic, she bought everything she passed! Tour rules declare that any … Continue reading →

Behind The Veil: ‘A Fate Worse Than Live’ Tour Diary – Day I

Cadaver Club Posted on November 19, 2013 by DraggleSeptember 5, 2014

‘Twas the night before the tour and all through the Clubhouse, not a creature was stirring…well, maybe a bat. As our Irish dates happened more than a week before the UK leg of the tour, I’m going to concentrate on the English and Scottish dates as they are still fresh in my dusty old scarecrow head. After celebrating my birthday (I’m now too old to remember my age) with my fellow Cadavers, we set about preparing for our gig in Manchester. Myself and Boom had not met The Deadly Romantics (our touring partners) before so we approached with caution, not … Continue reading →

Live Review: Pivo Pivo, Glasgow 13th November 2013

Cadaver Club Posted on November 16, 2013 by DraggleSeptember 5, 2014

By the time the headline act took to the stage its safe to say that the crypt door had been well and truly kicked open and with that the undead seized their opportunity to make our world their stage. So with the defibrillator powered up and ready to go all that was left to be done was spark some life into the creature… Mr Crowe, Boom Chic Chic, Dirge and Draggle or as they are collectively known… The Cadaver Club! Power Pop, Pop Punk whatever neat little label you chose to pin on this amalgamation doesn’t do justice to the … Continue reading →

Cadaver Club talk Hallowe’en with Über Röck

Cadaver Club Posted on October 30, 2013 by DraggleSeptember 5, 2014

Cadaver Club features Dirge and Draggle, the brothers Filth, on guitar and drums respectively, the exotic Boom Chic Chic on bass and the mysterious Mr. Crowe on vocals. Their debut album, ‘A Fate Worse Than Life’, is released on October 31st so the band members were perfect victims for Uber Rock’s 13 Days of Halloween….. 1.) What are your most vivid childhood memories of Halloween? For many people Christmas is the big family holiday, but for me Hallowe’en was always the highlight of the year. It was the one night I felt I could be myself unapologetically. Early memories are … Continue reading →
