7.30…beep beep  beep…get up get up get up,  shower, emerge slowly and cautiously into the land of the living – not easy for an old corpse like me. There was a little excursion to Camden planned for this morning with Mark and Brian from The Deadly Romantics. 7.30, the alarm goes off. Already? Time for a quick shower in the dark, not because I’m a secret showerer or anything weird like that but because the light’s gone in the bathroom and there are no windows. Ah, hot water, you lovely little invention you. Our travelling plans were changed by The Deadly Romantics at the previous night’s gig. They told us to ditch the trains and jump in the van with them. ‘Twas the night before the tour and all through the Clubhouse, not a creature was stirring…well, maybe a bat. As our Irish dates happened more than a week before the UK leg of the tour, I’m going to concentrate on the English and Scottish dates as they are still fresh in my dusty old scarecrow head.
